In November 2009 the city of Salzburg was the magnificent set of Knight & Day (working title The Unknown Wichita Project), an action-romance-movie with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. Location Austria, the Austrian Film Commission, supported the production in finding the best locations, liaising with the local film industry, and negotiating with officials and property owners. The Austrian premiere is going to be in June 2010.

The Pillars of the Earth, Ken Follett’s best-selling novel, is currently shot in Hungary and Austria. Location Austria, the Austrian Film Commission, supports the production of the limited series set at Castle of Kreuzenstein and Castle of Liechtenstein in Lower Austria and at the church Votivkirche in Vienna.
